Gas safety lectures with Eugene Ngai—Sept. 21

Join MIT.nano on September 21 for special topics gas safety lectures taught by Eugene Ngai! Eugene is an expert in compressed gas safety and emergency response, with much knowledge and experience to share with us.

On September 21, between 10am-3pm in 12-0168, we will have four lecture modules so participants can pick and choose which sessions to attend according to interest and availability.

September 21 Full Schedule:

10-11am: Portable dewar and fixed cryogenic tank safety considerations
11am-12pm: Pyrophoric, water reactive, and unstable ALD precursors (TMA, TMG, TDMAT, TEMAH, TEMAZ)
1-2pm: Safety considerations for maintenance of process chambers, pumps, and forelines, and reflections on incidents from academia/industry and common contributing factors
2-3pm: Exposure incidents and lessons learned for toxic hydride gases, including arsine, germane, digermane, diborane, phosphine, hydrogen selenide
