The Fourth of July holiday, which falls on a Saturday, will be observed by MIT this Friday 7/3 and also Monday 7/6.
Building 12 access and hours
The Fab.nano labs in building 12 will be in weekend/holiday status starting from the Thursday evening close at 5pm and will reopen to all users on Tuesday, July 7th at 9am.
Fab-users without 24hr privileges will not have access. If you were a 24-hour fab user before the shutdown, simply follow the same buddy/afterhour procedures for Fab-12 and Fab-39.
Building 39 access and hours
Along with adjusted access for the holiday weekend, the building 39 labs will be down Tuesday 7/7 through Thursday 7/9 due to scheduled facilities upgrades.
Lab operations in building 39 will resume normally on Friday 7/10 at 9am. We will bring tools up as soon as Facilities finish their work, which, with a little luck, might be early. Please keep an eye our for messages from the fab staff.
