A Glimpse into Research
Research conducted by MIT students and postdocs is integral to the mission of MIT.nano. We play a supporting role to many intellectual centers across campus, whose incredible volume of groundbreaking research is frequently enhanced by, or even depends upon, the use of MIT.nano's shared central facilities.
Highlighting our users' research generates a stream of new insights across every field of research that nanoscience encompasses, from health and medicine, to energy, manufacturing, and beyond. Get a glimpse of the work MIT students and postdocs are engaged in below:
MTL/MIT.nano Annual Research Reports
The Annual Research Report, a joint effort between Microsystems Technology Lab (MTL) and MIT.nano, highlights the vast research currently being conducted at MIT.
At MIT.nano, users come from over 250 different PI Labs and 50 DLCs. The report attempts to captures the astonishing range of insights and innovations that emerge from the users of MIT’s shared facilities.
This report is shared with members of the MTL Industrial Consortium, the MIT.nano Consortium and donors, guiding them through the extensive research at MIT. The Annual Research Report also helps MIT.nano attract new members and investments, which can lead to research grants for MIT PIs, and improvements to our tools and instruments to support our users.
