Join the Processing Technology Committee

MIT.nano is looking for new student members on the Processing Technology Committee (PTC). The PTC meets weekly to review and approve new processes as well as all 24-hr status requests. During COVID-19 operations, these meetings are held on Zoom every Friday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. In addition to students, the PTC is made up of faculty, postdocs, one rotating specialist, safety manager, and is chaired by the associate director of fab operations.

Benefits of joining the PTC include:

  • Building an understanding of what everyone else is doing in the lab;
  • Helping to structure meaningful material and process policies and restrictions for important tools;
  • Getting to know the staff and broaden your pool of potential future references;
  • Improving your own but also other people’s research experience by providing feedback on big or small things.
