MIT.nano’s premier program for connecting the arts with cutting-edge toolsets and spaces.

While primarily engineers and scientists come to MIT.nano to utilize the state of the art nano fabrication, characterization, and Immersion Lab facilities, we know that curiosity, inquiry, discovery, and production crosses all disciplines. Through STUDIO.nano we celebrate and support the art- and humanities-oriented inquiry that expands our understanding of science, technology and the human experiences they impact.

STUDIO.nano currently supports academic class delivery, the Resonances lecture series and other community-engagement events. Our digital and physical gallery exhibitions feature works of artists from the MIT community. Currently, we are also accepting limited proposals through a competitive process for our Encounters program, which features artists from outside of MIT who wish to engage with our spaces.
