International Vacuum Nanoelectronics Conference—July 10-14

The International Vacuum Nanoelectronics Conference series is devoted to the science and technology of micro and nanodevices that harness vacuum and/or high electric field phenomena. The conference covers both fundamental aspects and applications. Examples include electron sources, plasmas, liquid ionizers, gas ionizers, electric propulsion, X-rays, vacuum pumps, mass filters, vacuum quantum systems, and harsh electronics.

Optics11 Life Seminar—June 28

The Koch Institute Nanotechnology Materials Core Facility is hosting Optics11 for a 30 min seminar. Optics11 makes fiber optic-based nanoindentation systems designed to measure the local viscoelastic mechanics of soft samples by performing nondestructive single indentations or generating maps of surface properties. The technology is sensitive and easy-to-use by researchers from all backgrounds (from biologists to mechanical engineers).
