NEMO User Meeting Abstract Submission

The 2026 NEMO User Meeting will be held October 5-6, 2026, at MIT.nano

The NEMO User meeting brings together shared facility leaders, lab managers, and technical staff from institutions using or exploring NEMO, an open-source platform for managing shared research infrastructure.

Topics of interest traditionally include:

Your presentation topic does not have to fit into the above categories, we only mention them here as guidance - based on previous talks and topics covered at the 2025 NEMO User Meeting. 

Submission Deadlines

We will stagger the review of abstracts into early & late abstracts, to facilitate planning and reduce the burden on the program committee.  

Early abstract submission closes on July 1, 2026 Acceptance will be communicated by July 31, 2026 

Late abstracts can be submitted through August 1, 2026. Acceptance will be communicated by September 1, 2026. Late abstracts are subject to availability, and we encourage early submission of abstracts.

Abstract

To propose a talk for consideration at the 2026 NEMO User Meeting, please submit a 1-page abstract as PDF attachment below. The abstract should explain the objective of your talk, and outline your results and conclusions. We strongly encourage including a visual (e.g. image/figure/table/data/diagram/etc) as part of the abstract.

Please attach a 1-page PDF with your abstract. The format should be:

  • Title
  • Author(s) and Affiliation
  • Abstract Narrative
  • Optional: visuals/figures/tables/etc

Additional Details - Audience & Take-Aways

To help the program committee review your submission, and help them understand which sessions are most suitable, please provide a short description of (a) the target audience, and (b) how others can learn or benefit from your insights.

Please provide a brief description of the intended audience for your presentation (for example... operations managers, process engineers, equipment support, financial administrators, etc..)

What are the key take-aways? How can other labs benefit or learn from your insights?
