Neutral Physics Corporation (NPC) is a semiconductor equipment start up based in Billerica, MA that has developed and patented the industry’s first chargeless atomic particle accelerator technology (contrast to charge particle methods such as Plasma and Ion Beam.)
This novel, nanometer surface engineering technology is called Accelerated Neutral Atom Beam (ANAB) and is being positioned to extend fundamental processing capabilities into the atomic-era. The technology is providing engineers and scientists a truly new processing tool enabling solutions not previously possible, resetting the clock on existing techniques that were originally designed >30 years ago for the micron era. A 300mm capable Alpha tool was designed, built, qualified, and fab proven in Albany, NY’s 300mm Fab. This Alpha tool allows application development and exploration with partners as we prepare the technology for high volume manufacturing
Mr. Walsh has 25 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry, mostly focused on new technology development. He has held a broad range of roles over the years from tech support, to manufacturing, to engineering, to product development, to sales, and managing at the executive level. He is a co-inventor of this technology, holds six patents and five publications.
