This week, IS&T upgraded the server hardware and the card readers in Building 12. The new system is similar to all other buildings on campus.
All interior lab spaces are now also gated by CovidPass. Previously, only the exterior doors were.
If you cannot enter the lab space, please check your CovidPass attestation. It can take some time to propagate through the system. During the transition this week, we learned that some of the data migration during the upgrade was not instant but happened via overnight processes. Thus, occasionally it took an overnight process or two to re-establish card access for certain groups of users or areas.
We expect all access to be back to normal on Monday or Tuesday, Nov. 23 and 24. But if you encounter problems, please email us. Please send a description (or better yet picture) of the door location, along with a timestamp. It helps have IS&T look into it, in case a card or an access group is misconfigured and needs to be fixed.
