On Saturday, May 14, we will celebrate the naming of Building 12, the home of MIT.nano, by Lisa T. Su ’90, SM ’91, PhD ’94, chief executive officer and chair of the Board of Directors of AMD. (Read the MIT News announcement.) The naming ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM outside Building 12, and all are welcome to attend. RSVP to mitnanonaming@mit.edu.
To celebrate the naming of the building, the fab will run extended hours for regular / non-24h users on Friday and Saturday.
Friday May 13: Regular fab hours are 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM (not 7pm)
Saturday May 14: Fab is open to regular users 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
The celebrations will continue with MIT's Better World Weekend on Saturday afternoon, an event to honor members of our global community, in appreciation for their abundant contributions to the MIT Campaign For a Better World.
