MIT facilities will carry out preventative maintenance work on the building exhaust systems from Monday July 18 until about 2pm on Wednesday, July 20. As a result, the MIT.nano fab will be closed from 7AM July 18 through 2PM July 20 for all users. This work is more extensive this year, as facilities is implementing adjustments to help reduce future maintenance downtime.
On Wednesday 7/20, after we get the all-clear from facilities, MIT.nano staff will restart gases and tools and send an email when the fab re-opens for all users. We expect that to be around 2pm.
Note: With exhausts shut down, wetbenches cannot have any chemicals remaining inside. Please plan your solvent and acid work accordingly.
Buildings 24 & 39 are not impacted, and tools in 24 & 39 will remain operational.
