Increasing gowning inventory

MIT.nano is increasing our bunnysuit stock in both Fab 12 and 39, especially the larger sizes that we ran very low or out of a few times recently.

COVID has made gowning inventory a bit more complicated, in two ways:

  1. For hygienic reasons we pull garments weekly (reducing our ability to periodically “adjust” to shortages by not pulling gowns)
  2. The cleaning service appears to have occasional throughput problems due to COVID, which sometimes results in an extra week delay when returning some garment bags back to us. That uncertainty is sufficient enough to cause fluctuations and temporary shortages (for every week a gown is worn, it is “offline” for 2 or sometimes 3 weeks)

For Fab-39, we are buying limited in-stock items of the same style (lead time TBD, maybe 2 weeks)
For Fab-12, garments are not in stock and have 10-12 week lead-times from the manufacturer

Help us improve the situation in Fab-39: If you use both TRL and ICL, please use a plastic bag to shuttle your bunnysuit between the floors. This will help reduce shortages until the new stock arrives (as you won’t use two bunny suits/person in 39).
