Plan ahead for MIT December holidays

A few weeks ago, MIT announced an extended holiday period (Dec. 28, 29, 30). MIT.nano will not be permitted to staff the cleanroom and stay open for regular users during these days. Consequently, only 24-hour users are able to work in the fabs over the 11-day holiday (Dec 24 until Jan 3).

If you will be on campus during the holidays and have sufficient cleanroom experience, we strongly encourage you to sign up for 24-hour access.

A prerequisite for 24-hour access is the wet chemical process training, done over Zoom (http://web.mit.edu/training/course.html?course=EHS02006c). The next session is this Tuesday, December 1st at 1pm.

How do I get 24-hour access?
This PDF summarizes the expectations and steps. You can sign up for the 24-hour interview here: http://web.mit.edu/training/course.html?course=EHS02005c

Slots are often fully booked out, but we are always adding more to meet demand. Simply sign up for the waitlist, so we know what the overall demand is, and can contact you to arrange.

Note: If you haven’t completed the prerequisite wet chemical process training, you won’t be able to sign up for the 24-hour interview.
