Position Overview
The Fabrication Facilities Services Developer will lead the effort in establishing and maintaining a central point of entry for users to gain access into several academic fabrication facilities in the Northeast, known as the Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC) Hub. MIT.nano will lead the effort to facilitate ease of access into these facilities. MIT.nano, located in the center of the MIT campus in Cambridge MA, is a regional shared facility with 100,000 net square feet of new research and teaching spaces, open to any trained academic or industry user. The Fabrication Facilities Services Developer should have both broad industry and shared academic lab fabrication facility knowledge and an understanding of all typical process categories.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with NEMC Hub facilities leadership and senior managers, visiting the facilities regularly.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of NEMC Hub facilities capabilities in fabrication, metrology, characterization, packaging and heterogeneous integration, as well as basic tool categories and capabilities and developed process sequences; and of facility policies and procedures and training requirements.
- Develop a system that provides for expedited training of users on equivalent tools/instruments within the NEMC Hub facilities.
- Develop a system that will expedite the development of the most commonly used process sequences.
- Lead the creation of an Online Platform aggregating all available services, tools, instruments, training requirements, process sequences, and workflows within the NEMC Hub facilities. The platform will also serve in helping users to identify and quantify their needs or goals, thereby connecting users with the appropriate resources.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Masters in Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related discipline; minimum of five years of experience in semiconductor process facilities or equivalent.; direct experience in the operation of cleanroom processing equipment (metrology, vacuum, wet chemical processing, diffusion, furnace, plasma, and photolithography systems); knowledgeable with materials characterization and growth systems; experience in project management including scheduling of complex process and equipment workflows; ability to quickly learn new technologies and communicate those concepts to users; experience with web technologies and information databases; excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills; ability to deliver the highest level of support and customer service; self-motivated with a proactive approach to responsibilities while working under minimal supervision; meticulous attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Doctorate in Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related discipline; Experience working in academic shared semiconductor process facilities preferred.
