MIT will be closed on Thursday, 12/24 and Friday, 12/25 for the Christmas Day holiday so Fab.nano will be closed. Building 39 gases and elevators will be shut down at 4pm on Wednesday, 12/23, when the staff will be released.
This year MIT has extended the holiday period to include the following week of 12/28 through New Years Day, Friday 1/1/21. As usual during Institute holidays, the fabs in Building 39 and Building 12 will not be staffed, so they will be only open to qualified 24hr users who must follow the buddy policies in each fab. Fab wet chemical passthroughs will be replenished on Tuesday 12/29.
Building 39 fabs will reopen to all users on Monday 1/4 at 8am. Building 12 fabs will reopen at 12pm on Monday, 1/4. The delayed opening in Building 12 will allow time for MIT Department of Facilities to maintain Building 12 and accommodate future Phase 2 tool install requirements in the fab. All users are reminded to check the UP/DOWN status in Coral of machines they intend to use upon their return.
